Lowrance Software Update Now Available

Lowrance has made available a free software upgrade to users of Lowrance’s Navionics Platinum and Platinum HotMaps cartography, and Broadband Sounder-1 sonar technology.

Available for download at www.lowrance.com, the update makes it possible for all Lowrance 2007 and 2008 color LMS, LCX and GlobalMap models with 5-, 7-, 8.4- and 10.4-inch displays to use Navionics Platinum and Platinum HotMaps, and Boradband Sounder-1.

New features to Broadband Sounder-1 technology include improved shallow- and deep-water performance, and DSP technology with digital filtering for clear definition of target display.

It offers new high-definition digital radome capability for exact target detection and resolution, radar/chart overlay utilizing Simrad heading sensors, and the addition of Greek and Polish to existing language support. Additional features include a new screen snapshot feature that enables users to capture and/or save sonar or GPS screens, enhancements to chart redraw speed and sonar digital depth tracking, and a new range of sonar presets.
