Skeeter Anglers Take Top Spots In Bass Elite Series

Todd Faircloth and Clark Reehm — both sponsored by Skeeter Products Inc. — took the top two spots at the recent Bass Elite Series ‘Battle on the Border’ tournament on Lake Amistad in Del Rio, Texas.

Faircloth — who placed fourth at the same event in 2007 — made the jump from 10th to first place during the last day of the tournament. He used two lures during the competition: a large shad-colored swimbait and a 6-inch Yamamoto Senko; and a jointed wake bait to locate fish.

Faircloth beat out Reehm by a mere 12 ounces. His skills earned him $100,000 and second place in the Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year runnings, behind Champion-sponsored angler Mike McClelland. Reehm is now in third place in the Advance Auto Parts Bassmaster Rookie of the Year standings.
