Want a flashlight you can use on your boat that doesn't require batteries? Weems & Plath introduces the NightStar ($79.99), a flashlight that runs on an LED bulb and lasts for 100,000 hours, according to the company. Just shake it for 30 seconds to activate the wire coils, which work with a magnet to produce light that will last up to six minutes. In total darkness, the NightStar will illuminate a 5-foot diameter area at 50 feet, plus it's waterproof and should operate normally at depths of up to 400 feet.
