In case of an accident, Cole Hersee has developed a new emergency kill switch ($19.99) with a lanyard for boaters. The elasticized lanyard has a stainless-steel clip that fastens to the operator's belt or clothing. The switch features a plastic housing and can easily be attached to the panel or another surface. The switch is appropriate for both inboard and outboard engines, and will work on boats with circuits requiring either a grounded emergency stop or an open circuit emergency stop.
