Suzuki Honored For Promoting PFDs

By Jennifer Dennard

The U.S. Coast Guard, Coast Guard Auxiliary, U.S. Power Squadron, Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA)  and the National Safe Boating Council (NSBC) recognized Suzuki Marine with the “Show It, Don’t Stow It” Award at the Miami Boat Show. The company was honored for drawing attention to the importance of wearing a life jacket in its display at the show.

Dean Corbisier, head of public relations at Suzuki, accepted the award. In accepting the award, he noted that Suzuki believes personal flotation devices (PFDs) are as important as its motors, so including them in advertising is a natural fit.
