BoatU.S. Angler Adds Fresh- And Saltwater Fish To 'Catch of the Month' Contest

By Jennifer Dennard

The BoatU.S. Angler “Catch of the Month” online photo contest — sponsored by the recreational boating association BoatU.S. — now accepts images of fresh- and saltwater species.

To participate in the contest, anglers should send in photos of themselves with their catch for possible display on the BoatU.S. website. BoatU.S. Angler staff will judge the images each month. Winners will be chosen monthly for “Best Saltwater Catch” and “Best Freshwater Catch” through October 2008. Monthly winners will receive a $50 BoatU.S. Visa gift card, framed certificate, BoatU.S. Angler logo items, and have their name and photo published in BoatU.S. Angler magazine.

Grand-prize winners in the same categories will be chosen from the pool of monthly winners. The freshwater contest winner will receive a fiberglass replica of their catch from Donnie Poore’s Fish’n Art, while the saltwater contest winner will receive a saltwater fishing reel.

Entries may be received via e-mail as high-resolution jpg or tif images — preferably in 300 dpi format. Print photos may be mailed to BoatU.S. Angler, “Catch of the Month” Photo Contest, 880 S. Pickett St., Alexandria, VA 22304.
