Discovery Channel Features Boston Whaler On Some Assembly Required

By Jennifer Dennard

Family fishing boat manufacturer Boston Whaler made its Discovery Channel debut recently on Some Assembly Required, a show that takes viewers through the step-by-step manufacturing process of a familiar product.

Hosts Louis Bloomfield and Brian Unger visited Boston Whaler’s Edgewater, Fla., facility to get a sneak peek at the company’s Unibond construction process, which involves injecting a unique chemical foam between inner decks and outer hulls made of fiberglass, gel coat and resin to create a double-hulled Boston Whaler motor boat.
