Boating And Water Safety Summit Heads To San Diego

The 12th Annual 2008
International Boating And Water Safety Summit will head to San Diego next month for four days of
outdoor exhibition; conference, training and certification programs; and receptions related to
boating and water safety. Sponsored by the National Water Safety Congress and the National Safe
Boating Council, the summit will be held April 16-19, at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina.
More than 400 participants working in recreational boating and water safety are expected to attend from the United States, Canada, Europe, Africa and the Pacific Rim.
New to the summit this year are on-water/in-water skill-based, hands-on education classes. Special events will include an opening reception, National Safe Boating Council 50th Anniversary celebration reception, and a special outdoor, on-water activity event. Conference topics will include law enforcement, education, accident prevention, waterways management, outreach, risk management and paddle-sport safety.
