Washington To Welcome Wooden Boat Fair

The 28th Annual Olympia Wooden Boat Fair, sponsored by the Olympia Wooden Boat Association, will be held May 10-11 at Percival Landing Park in downtown Olympia, Wash.

More than 50 wooden boats of various vintage, size and condition — as well as in differing stages of construction or restoration — will be displayed along the park’s two main docks and boardwalk.  The fair also will offer a marine touch-tank, a children’s boat-building booth where kids can stop by and build their own wooden boats, and more than 60 arts and crafts booths. Entertainment will include live music, a sea chantey group and cloggers.

For more information about the fair, contact Jennie Throckmorton at (360) 918-1885; jthrockmorton@msn.com; or visit www.olywoodenboat.org.
