Moomba Outback V

First Impressions

Looking to get into a V-drive watersports boat for less than $40,000? Moomba's Outback V may just be the ticket. During a test drive on Lake Lanier, about an hour outside of Atlanta, the Outback V is put through the paces, and the results are impressive. Powered by a 325-hp, 5.7L Indmar Assault MPI, the Outback V produces a nice wake, good hole shot and impressive maneuverability. The walk-through storage compartment is ample, as is the sunpad for when you're ready to relax after an exciting run across the water. Interior amenities are modest, but there's enough to get you going and plenty of options available for those looking to customize to their tastes. The test boat has the sharp-looking wakeboarding package, which includes a tower and Gravity I ballast.

Moomba also pays close attention to construction, offering a limited lifetime construction warranty. The Outback V is a great choice for boaters looking for a reliable, affordable watersports boat..
