With Airmar's CA500 thru-hull video camera, you not only get to explore the beauty of the underwater world beneath your boat, but you also have a whole new way to find fish. This ultimate observation system combines a tranducer with a camera to display a real-time view of the underseas that's able to be seen on compatible marine electronics with video inputs, as well as on any video display monitor. According to the company, its ultra-low lux (0.01) wide-angle camera provides a clear picture, even in low light conditions, and Airmar's exclusive sapphire viewing window enables a clear, distortion-free image while protecting the camera with a high resistance to scratching or cracking. You won't have to worry about the device interfering with your boat's running performance since the low-profile housing sits virtually flush to the hull. The CA500 is offered with a choice of either high-impact plastic or stainless-steel thru-hull housings, both of which are waterproof. Connect the single cable to any color video display with either an NTSC or PAL input, and you'll be able to see rockpiles, shallow wrecks, and most importantly, the fish underneath your boat. $495 (plastic housing); $650 (stainless-steel housing).
