Box That Booms
It's perfect for onboard entertainment

Whether getting stoked for the next wakeboard run or enjoying a moment of Zen while waiting for the next fish to bite, most boaters love music. What isn't so lovable, though, is watching your favorite CDs sink into the water, or even having to haul along your entire collection to carry you through a cruise up the ICW. And traditional radio often delivers spotty reception and limited choices. That's why the Delphi Roady XT XM radio receiver ($79.99) and the water-resistant Belkin boombox ($99.99) impressed me so much during a recent Boating World test. The Roady XT gives CD-quality XM satellite radio anywhere I had a view of the sky (and that's about, oh, 99.9999% of U.S. waters), whispering to blasting through the boat's stereo system with no tricky installation necessary. For about the price of one CD per month, you get XM's full range of commercial-free music - and every MLB game - anywhere you go. The Belkin boombox makes the Roady XT even more portable, and it's perfect for onboard use because it's water-resistant. The Belkin won't survive a sinking, but it'll definitely stand up to heavy splashing or a sudden downpour. Don't leave port without it. (866) SHOPXM1, www.xmradio.com/shop.
