Music for Mariners
A day on the boat is much more fun when there's music.

A day on the boat is much more fun when there's music. Turn it up with Kenwood USA Corp.'s
new Marine AM/FM CD Receiver and two water-resistant remote controls. The KDC-232MR shares many
features with Kenwood's mobile audio components, but is specially designed for the rigors of
nautical use. For example, the primary printed circuit board features conformal coating, an
insulated protective coating that provides a barrier against marine environmental conditions. In
addition to the AM/FM tuner, the receiver is HD Radio Ready and Sirius Satellite Radio Ready for
future upgrades. It can be used with either of Kenwood's optional single-wire, water-resistant
remote controls, the KCA-RC50MRW (white) and KCA-RC50MRB (black). The receiver retails for $200;
both controls retail for $50 each. (310) 639-9000,
